[Super Show 9 Ticket Selling] My experience was funny, but SEAMLESS

, on

It is not new to us PH ELFs (Super Junior's Fan Club) that PULP and HAPEE (Inang, as she's known in the K-Community) have always done a great job at producing concerts here in the Philippines.  Inang is also known to be a big ELF and so the PH ELFs are always looking forward to Super Shows here in Manila.

When Inang finally announced (on her birthday nonetheless!) that SS9 Manila Leg is going to happen, me and the rest of my Tita ELF friends panicked (in a good way) --- Both Lexi and 1 went to SS8 (we were baby ELFs then), note we have 2 more friends coming with us!

The SUJU Titas (as we call ourselves in our group chat) immediately scheduled a pre production meeting (sorry, it's an occupational hazard) via zoom on the same day the announcement was released to plan which seat to get and how to get it.  By the end of the meeting, we decided that we'd all get standing tickets, with F as priority. Should it be sold out, we'd go for seated --- as shown in the diagram below HAHA!

Since I still have a hangover from BI's ticket pre selling and SVT general ticket selling experience, I volunteered to do the camping out --- I swear, I'd be a ticket camp out expert in no time -- and the rest of our Tital ELFs group are to queue online. I was too worried as to what will happen during the ticket selling since there are a lot of new ELFs too.

July 4th, they released a complete thread for everyone to be guided.  Even a Ticket Purchasing Assistance (TPA) was organized for those who are not able to secure their tickets on their own. This made the ELFs less anxious because of how detailed and helpful all the pre-selling social media materials were.

While we (and our wallets) were getting ready for the upcoming ticket selling day, PULP is very active in giving us good vibes till ticketing day.

Inang on the other hand uses her personal accounts on social media to give updates. She even went on live the night before the ticket-selling day to advise the ELFs not to camp anymore because most of the ELFs are titas already and would choose to purchase online instead.

She also made sure there will be no confusion with Yugyeom's ticket selling as it is scheduled to be on the same day as SUJU's.

Being the stubborn ELF Tita's that we are, Lexi and I drove to SM Masinag at exactly 9:45PM, just before the mall closes, to check if ELF's are camping out. We asked the admins and guards if there is any information that was given already for the ticket selling the next day.  Apparently, SM Store (where the SVT tickets were sold) didn't have a clue, but the main admin knew there was a ticket selling that's going to happen yet no memo was given to them.

We were shookt because SM Marikina and SM Makati did have unofficial queues already for those camping out (less than 50 people only were listed by the way! titas are indeed going to purchase online!) and the branches knew about the said selling the next day. Lexi was certain that SM Masinag will be selling because the production released an official list of branches where we can go and didn't mention otherwise. Giving up thinking too much, and having the benefit of the doubt that SM Masinag admins must've missed bringing down the memo, we left and drove by SM Marikina to check if there was a line and all (and there was) but yeah, I guess I was just feeling the anxiety from the previous pre-selling experiences. 😂

We then decided to go home, wait for updates on Twitter, set alarm at 4AM, and wait for 12PM. We both slept, but 4AM was a bluff because I just woke up to turn off the alarm. HAHA! Anyhoo, because Lexi had to be with her daughter, it was decided that I'm going to go alone (no worries! time to turn on the fangirl luck in me 😜)

Upon entering SM Masinag at around 10AM, I had to withdraw cash for us four Tita ELFs -- and I've never had that much cash in me since debit cards and GCash were invented. 😂 My goodness, I cannot put to words that nerve-wracking feeling of withdrawing so much cash.  Though, I wasn't really worried about carrying the cash.  It was the ATM's I was afraid of. I was too scared that the ATM won't dispense cash. MIND YOU, there was only ONE ATM working at that time, all others are out of cash!

See that bulky D&E bag there? 😅

I still had a lot of mishaps and comedy moments while waiting for 12PM (my line got cut off because I forgot to pay, brought an extra phone with a prepaid sim, but only had 5% battery, also it was an android which I do not know how to use HAHA) what's important is I got the #12 queue.  Nearing 12pm, everyone in line was also queuing online, same goes with my SUJU titas at home 😊

At 12PM, just when I thought I could finally breathe easy again,  the counter's computer just wasn't loading! It took about 3-5 minutes before we started with queue #1.  And as KPOP concert goers, we all know there is A LOT that could happen in those few minutes!

When the line finally started moving, it was surprisingly fast. I even got lucky because the #10 in the queue said we can go first, and #11 was just a quick inquiry.  Since I'm buying 4 tickets, I was told it needs to be processed by two to avoid system errors. So again, the shaking of the hands while crossing my fingers to secure all 4 tickets.  A few minutes after --- viola! 4 VIP STANDING TICKETS FOR 4 TITAS (who still has no idea how to last the almost 3 hour show STANDING)

And now it is time to breathe, rest and plan the OOTD for August 6.  Eunhyuk said we should wear blue masks and Kyuhyun suggested we wear denim too. Mask is a yes, but I'll think about the denim. Hehe!

OMG! See you on Aug 6, Lee Hyukjae! 💙

Were you able to purchase your tickets? See you on Aug 6! Until then, STAY SAFE & HEALTHY! Hwaiting!
