Blogapalooza 2016

, on

What is Blogapalooza? I asked and answered myself with “I don’t know but obviously it is a bloggers event.” WHOOPSY…

In April, I received a message from my best friend Alex to sign up for the Blogapalooza event. I did not ask what it is and just signed up. Being a rookie in the blogging scene I honestly didn’t know what the event is all about I just know it is for bloggers. What a shame! (My next post would be supporting this ignorance to the blogging world)

After signing up I had to research on what Blogapalooza really is to be aware and also prepare.

Few days after, I received an email that I got in and Alex did too. I cannot contain my excitement as this is my first time to attend Blogapalooza; even more, the very first blogger’s event. Reading blogs about their Blogapalooza experiences gave me a bit of an idea on what to expect. Being the OA that I am I prepared to bring a big bag with me, even planned to bring my laptop until Alex sent me Louisechelle’s blog post to guide me on this big Business-Blogger event, whew! Saved me from bringing that big lappy with me.

On the day of the event (May 21, 2016), I got there so nervous. I felt like all the pre-readings that I did about the event disappeared. I waited a few minutes and finally had the courage not to wait for my best friend and registered. I was handed over a blogger ID to write my name on it and the Blogapalooza welcome pack. Woohoo! Legit blogger feels. :D

As I entered the venue, my heart was really beating so fast and didn’t know where to go first. So I looked around and checked every booth. Speedy Cards caught my attention with their FREE 100 pieces of standard business cards upon signing up, so I signed up and as a bonus I played their 2 minute puzzle challenge to win a spin; lucky to win their foil business card.

There’s Cocio with their blockbuster flat lay photobooth. Yup! It had the longest line and so we did it the last. Being Alex the artsyfartsy one, she did the flat laying and all as you can see in the BTS :D

Other businesses in there like Happy Fresh for easy grocery shopping. I haven't tried this yet but I surely will! This is helpful for busy mothers like me. Brilliant!

Hey Kuya for stress-free reservation, booking and delivery.  I've tried this and "Kuya" answers real time. :)

Arla for the yummy cheese and milk....

We also tried Victoria Court's puzzle challenge. LOOK at our #VCEXPERIENCE!

There were also speakers who shared their road to success to being known as a blogger, a videographer, YouTube-r and also tips in blogging and marketing.

I was really impressed with how Ericka Padilla shared hers as “I’d like to think I’m a good actress, I’d like to think I’m a good yogi and I’d like to think I’m a good sportscaster” and resulted to being the good actress, yogi and sportscaster that she currently is. Confidence and mindset is really the key to pursuing what you want and where your path is leading you.

It is indeed THE experience in the bloggers world even though some mentioned there were fewer participants this year than in the past. A smaller group doesn’t mean lesser value of the experience so it isn’t on the negative side for me. I’m honored to have been part of Blogapalooza 2016 and looking forward to the next bloggers event in the future.
